Manh Duy is a PhD student at the Graduate School of International Development, Nagoya University. His research examines the political dynamics of single-party regimes in East and Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on how institutional arrangements, such as elections and legislatures, shape regime stability and political participation. Beyond this core focus, his work engages with broader themes in comparative politics and political behavior in non-democratic contexts, employing quantitative methods and design-based causal inference. Prior to joining GSID, he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and gained professional experience working on JICA projects in governance and education sectors.
