Shih-An received a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.S.D.) from the University of Chicago Law School, USA, in 2024. Her dissertation analyzes how courts under geopolitical distress adjudicate national security disputes, focusing on the practices of the constitutional courts in South Korea, Taiwan, and Lithuania. Her research interests include comparative constitutional law, law and democracy, national security law, constitutional theory and history, as well as regulation and legislation.
